Strengthening Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department’s EMS Services Marketing and Community Outreach
From creating an anniversary logo to driving volunteer recruitment, we teamed up with the FCVFD to launch a modern EMS marketing strategy—strengthening their community outreach, digital presence, and brand identity.

The Opportunity
Building a Brand for the Next 100 Years
The Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department (FCVFD) is a volunteer Emergency Medical Services department serving Falls Church, Virginia, and surrounding areas. Referred to Agency 102 by an existing Fire + EMS department client, FCVFD needed a marketing partner with proven experience in fire, EMS, and public awareness campaigns.
They came to us for help rebranding their identity to reflect their recent EMS transition, creating a new logo for the department’s 100th Anniversary, and boosting overall volunteer recruitment and fundraising. Leveraging our industry expertise, we developed a comprehensive plan that included a website refresh, high-quality content creation, social media management, website optimization, and the launch of a monthly newsletter and blog—ensuring FCVFD could effectively engage the community, attract volunteers, and support their long-term growth.
The Process
Creating a Lasting Community Impact With Public Safety Marketing Strategies
- Content creation:
Together with our photography partner, we coordinated an on-site brand photoshoot with the team to capture authentic images and videos that reflect their new focus on EMS. These updated images are now used across all platforms, helping to reinforce this new identity and create a cohesive brand presence. - Website Refresh & Optimization:
We updated FCVFD’s WordPress theme to reflect the EMS focus and 100th Anniversary, adding new photos, colors, and more mission-aligned content. We also optimized the Application and Donation pages for better conversions and SEO, and added News/Events and Blog pages to support community education and drive organic traffic. - Logo Redesign: To commemorate their centennial year in 2025, we designed a special 100th-anniversary logo which is now integrated into social media posts and used across all platforms.
Ongoing Marketing Support:
- Social Media Strategy: We utilize a social media strategy that consists of new educational content and templates, improved and updated brand guidelines, as well as the creation of platform events to increase volunteer recruitment efforts.
- Monthly Newsletter Launch: We launched FCVFD’s first newsletter, keeping the community informed about important updates, safety tips, and volunteer opportunities.
- Blog Content: Monthly blog posts provide educational resources to the public on topics like FCVFD history, volunteer spotlights, and community events.
- Analytics and Monitoring: Regular analytics calls are held to measure the effectiveness of our strategy and ensure that goals are being met each month.
- Community Management: We also support FCVFD’s volunteer recruitment efforts by promoting their monthly Volunteer Information Sessions through local community outreach.
