About Agency 102
Agency 102 is a boutique content marketing agency based in Maryland that helps organizations tell stories that matter. We partner with clients across financial and professional services, healthcare, and first responder organizations to create strategic marketing that builds trust, strengthens brands, and delivers results. We’re a collaborative, fully remote team that values creativity, continuous improvement, accountability, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
About the Role
Agency 102 is seeking a Senior Content Marketing Strategist to own content strategy and execution for a portfolio of client accounts. This role is ideal for someone with agency experience who enjoys writing, storytelling, and creating strategic content that performs across multiple marketing channels and is comfortable independently managing workload.
You’ll be responsible for developing long-form content, including blogs, newsletters, website copy, and thought leadership, and transforming that content into engaging social media campaigns. You’ll also collaborate directly with colleagues/project managers and clients, participate in strategy discussions, and occasionally travel on-site to capture photo and video content for Maryland-based clients.
If you’re a strong writer who loves bringing stories to life and thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality blogs, website copy, email newsletters, case studies, and other long-form marketing content.
- Repurpose long-form content into engaging social media posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Develop and maintain monthly content calendars for assigned clients.
- Design branded social media graphics and marketing assets using Canva.
- Schedule and publish content across multiple social media channels.
- Attend client meetings and communicate professionally through email, phone, and video calls.
- Independently manage assigned client accounts, balancing multiple priorities while proactively communicating timelines and project updates.
- Collaborate with internal team members to execute content strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct interviews with clients and subject matter experts to develop authentic, compelling content.
- Capture photo and video content during occasional on-site client visits and content days throughout Maryland using an iPhone or similar mobile device.
- Conduct research to support content development and client initiatives.
- Manage multiple client accounts while maintaining deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 2 years in an agency environment preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt to different client voices, ideally with experience in professional/financial services and/or healthcare.
- Experience writing both long-form and short-form marketing content.
- Strong understanding of content marketing, storytelling, and social media best practices.
- Experience creating branded graphics in Canva.
- Experience managing and publishing content across multiple social media platforms.
- Comfortable presenting ideas and communicating directly with clients.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- WordPress
- Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms
- Basic SEO knowledge and keyword optimization
- Meta Business Suite
- Google Analytics
- Asana or other project management software
- Photography or mobile video content creation for social media
Industries You’ll Support
- Financial and professional services
- Healthcare organizations
- Fire departments, EMS agencies, and other first responder organizations
- Small businesses and nonprofit organizations
Location
This position is remote for candidates residing in Maryland. Because several of our clients are located throughout the state, candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel for client meetings, content creation days, team gatherings, and other in-person opportunities. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Greater Baltimore area.
Application Requirements
Please submit:
- Resume
- 3–5 writing samples (blogs, newsletters, website copy, LinkedIn articles, etc.)
- If available, examples of Canva work or social media content
